Thin-wall deep groove ball bearings are a specialized type of deep groove ball bearing designed with reduced section thickness (wall thickness), so they fit into tight or limited installation spaces where a traditional bearing wouldn't fit. They retain the classic deep groove geometry - single row of balls in deep raceways - offering smooth rotation, low noise, and the ability to take radial loads with some axial load capacity.
Reduced cross-section ("thin wall") for space-constrained designs
Ability to support radial loads and moderate axial loads
Common in motors, small gearboxes, and automation systems
Usually available sealed (e.g., 2RS) or shielded (e.g., ZZ) variants
Typical thin-wall deep groove series follow the 16000 bearing series (metric designation):
XSY Bearings Thin Wall Deep Groove Ball Bearing has a simple structure, convenient use, and wide application. Is mainly used to bear radial load, and can also absorb a certain amount of axial load. When increasing the radial clearance, it has the properties of an angle contact ball bearing and can withstand a large axial load.Angular contact ball bearings are designed with an internal raceway geometry where the contact line between ball and race is at an angle to the bearing axis. This design means they can carry both radial and significant axial (thrust) loads - especially in one direction when used alone, or in paired/opposed arrangements for bidirectional axial support.
Contact angle typically 15°, 25°, 30°, or 40°
Larger angle = greater axial load capacity
Often used in pairs (back-to-back, face-to-face) for axial loads in both directions
Used where combined loads and rigidity are required
Typical angular contact bearing size range (metric):
Common angular contact series include 7000, 7200, 7300 series, where, e.g., series like 7003, 7205, 7306 reflect increasing size ranges.
